The involvement of MSDT in the DD program has not only widen its horizon in IT, specifically software development but has added another niche to its activities – human capital development i.e. the training of the underserved communities.  As the training program is generally accepted as part of the DD solution, MSDT has to-date developed and established a credible, qualified and mobile training force. These trainers not only trained the communities but also conduct community participation programs and other activities which would enhance the program.

The creation of the Training Unit under the Group has resulted in the establishment of a formal training center known as MSDT Knowledge Center located in Jalan Ampang. From their base here, the trainers are required to develop training program which would significantly differ from the traditional approach to facilitate the flow of information from the trainers to the trainee.

It is not a prerequisite for all training to be done at the training center as training can be done anywhere – hotels, sites, resorts and any other place as specified by the stakeholders.

To-date MSDT is proud to have trained thousands of communities from all over the country from the very basic in computer knowledge to the advanced application and it will strive harder to attain a level of competency unmatched by others in the same field.
